When Raul was just 16 years old he was injured in a diving accident and has not walked since. He has spent over half of his life being lifted into vehicles whenever he needed to leave his community.
But, he loves to fish, photograph outdoor scenes, go to festivals, and much more. We want to remove a barrier to these great experiences for Raul by giving him a low mileage mobility van and then modify it so he can personally drive it. An anticipated total cost of $10,000.
Through the generous help of a family and the actions of Removing the Barriers Initiative, we have acquired a low mileage Chrysler mobility van. We are making this van FREE to Raul, but we need to raise the money to make that happen.
